Tiles identity &  customisation ---

The "Latitude" model is the face (or in this case, the tile) that reflects on how Studio Latitude was born.

​

After months of experiments and tests, of the disposition of organic forms that can occur in a cementitious material mixed with water and pigments --via silicone molds, this "disconcerted" geometry emerges, which has become the concept and roots of Studio Latitude identity's.

​

After some time, those organic lines were “translated” and transferred to modelling softwares, which has allowed this organic shape to be immortalised in a 3D mold (those, replacing the traditional tile molds, which are made in bronze or brass).

​

Thanks to the 3D process, it was then possible for an abstract design to become viable for reproduction.

​

And finally, it travels back again to the hydraulic mosaic main purpose - of repeating and mixing patterns - but with a contemporary vision and methodology .

Also due to the possibility of endless digital-design pattern creations, Studio Latitude tiles can be made to measure, according to the client's desires.
